Falling Water
Categories: Travel, Nature
Canon 17-40 L @17 mm 1/8 f/4.0
While visiting Australia last July, I took an early morning walk in the Blue Mountains near Sydney, and came upon this tranquil waterfall after climbing down a long way. The walk back up was about twice as far.
I have almost no experience with B/W photography, and I'm not sure I'm satisfied with how I've captured the tonal range in the scene. Comments welcome.

It looks like it was dark with all the trees surrounding you, and as a result, I think the rock walls look bit a flat. More contrast would be nice, but I guess you'd probably lose too much detail if you did that? What b&w conversion method did you use?
However, the water itself is really nice. The lighting on the water seems perfect and I like the way the composition of the shot directs my eye down the path of the falling water.
